Role Description
This is a full-time Staff Pharmacist position located in Big Spring, TX. The Staff Pharmacist will work on-site to counsel patients on proper medication use, and oversee the safe storage and handling of pharmaceuticals. Daily responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions, verifying dosage, collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care, and supervising pharmacy technicians. Contributing to the management of pharmacy operations and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations is also required.
Qualifications
Proficiency in prescription review, dosage verification, and ensuring the accuracy of medication dispensing Strong communication and patient counseling skills to explain medication directions, side effects, and usage Understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards related to pharmaceutical practice Experience in inventory management and supervising a pharmacy team Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Texas Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited program Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and provide exceptional patient care
