Job Description
What You Will Be Doing
- Complete daily operations (opening duties, stocking, polishing, cleaning and maintaining walk‑ins, fridges and other areas as assigned by the F&B Manager on duty).
- Meet and greet guests and coordinate with the F&B team regarding preferences, allergies and special occasions.
- Have full knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods.
- Maintain quality and timeliness of service and practice effective upselling and suggestive selling techniques to drive outlet revenue.
- Maintain accurate billing, cash handling and float procedures.
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way.
- Serve group functions per individual client specifications.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
- Follow all hotel service standards.
- Perform any other job tasks that may be assigned.
Physical Aspects of the Position
- Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling.
- Occasional lifting and carrying over 50 lbs.
- Frequent pushing and pulling up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent handling and reaching outward.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
Qualifications
- 1 year restaurant experience preferred; serving experience an asset.
- Creative and passionate about customer service.
- Able to work in a high‑pressure environment.
- Must be able to work any shift assigned, such as holidays, weekends, mornings, and potentially afternoons and evenings if needed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player.
- Ability to focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Provide the necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in Food and Beverage.
