Job Overview We are seeking a

Project Engineer I

for our Iron Mountain, MI site. This role will be responsible for providing technical guidance to engineering, design, project management, and manufacturing teams, with a focus on electrical design. A Day In The Life Control the Bill of Material and verify accuracy and compliance with customer specifications Create and verify QC Documents Coordinate project requirements with CAD Designer and Technician Resolve technical issues in manufacturing Create Wire Diagrams and House Wire Schematics Interpret and understand internal and external customer specifications Have knowledge of circuits, electrical components, and their related functionality Review Mechanical Drawings for quality and compliance with requirements Coordinate with the Compliance Team and Product Design Team for projects, as required Review buildings for NEC code compliance, as required Create component Bill of Materials and Cable Schedules Work safely in and around energized electrical enclosures Coordinate design change implementation Work with Project Manager to support projects Customer visits (travel approximately 10% of the time) What will help you thrive in this role? Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related field or Associate Degree with equivalent experience working in Utilities Utility Systems Certificate would be helpful Minimum of one to three years of experience in related engineering, co-op or internship role; or minimum of five years of experience working on a Systems Control project management team Knowledge and understanding of the company's product offering and customer needs Basic understanding of AC and DC circuits Skill at reading schematics and wiring diagrams Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Proven analytical & problem-solving skills Construction experience Competencies Communicating and Influencing Enabling Execution Initiative and Drive Planning, Organizing, and Decision Making About Hubbell Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people, and the planet.
