In this position with Presbyterian’s Acute care rehabilitation department gives clinicians the opportunity to treat a variety of patients and the ability to work with a group of therapist that have a range in specialties. The Acute care rehabilitation team is collaborative and patient-focused. We place a strong emphasis on providing orientation and mentorship in order to ensure the well-being and success of our new team members. Join a team committed to improving the health of our communities!Additional Job Duties:Requires detailed knowledge of physical therapy in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, this level includes interpretation of data.Basic computer skills required.Basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific settingEvaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients servedOversees and insures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and immediate environmental well-being of the patientPromotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.Coordinates efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation and during episode of care.Is a patient advocate.Other duties as assignedDo you have questions about this specific role?
