The Brain Interfaces Mechanical Engineering Team is responsible for the design, build, and testing of all mechanical systems in our implant and charger./ph3Job Description Responsibilities/h3pAs a Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for manufacturing our implants and accessories. The implanted device contains micron-scale electrode threads and an electronics assembly containing the battery, chips, and circuit boards. You will be engaged with many day-to-day responsibilities, including flip-chip bonding, part cleaning and preparation, electronics potting, mounting implants to the surgical mechanisms, as well as component and assembly-level testing of the electronics. Additional responsibilities include:/pulliPerform mechanical/electrical assembly of implant and charger components, subassemblies, and integration of final assemblies/liliBuild small implant subassemblies involving custom micron-scale electrode arrays and SoC with high precision/liliOperate equipment, such as flip-chip bonders and laser welders/liliExecute equipment maintenance and calibration/liliPackage final products for delivery/liliMaintain parts inventory/liliRun functional testing of built hardware, including setup, instrumentation, and test execution/liliEnsure product quality and conformance to design requirements/liliKeep a clean, organized, and thoroughly maintained workspace/li/ulh3Required Qualifications/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent/liliExcellent verbal and written communication/liliResourceful, flexible, and adaptable; no task is too big or too small/liliStrong self-discipline and integrity/liliAbility to work reliably with small and delicate components where precision is critical/liliAbility to maintain a clean and organized workspace/liliAbility to follow strict SOPs, safety protocols and quality standards/liliAbility to thrive in a dynamic and constantly changing environment/liliAbility to work effectively in a team environment/liliExcellent attention to detail/liliBasic familiarity with Google Suite (e.g., documents, spreadsheets, presentations)/li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulliExperience in a manufacturing environment/liliDemonstrated ability to read, interpret, and work from drawings and work instructions/liliExperience with small and delicate assemblies where precision is critical/liliDemonstrated ability to visually detect defects and repair them in a fast-paced environment, and report them when necessary/liliDemonstrated ability to use electronic tools and basic software to document, communicate, identify, and resolve quality issues and defects/li/ulh3Additional Requirements/h3ulliAbility to work within a cleanroom, including adhering to gowning and PPE requirements (e.g., masks) and spending long periods standing and walking/liliAbility to lift and transfer up to 25 pounds/liliWilling to work extended hours and weekends, as needed/li/ulh3Pay Transparency/h3pAt Neuralink, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The anticipated hourly rate for this position is expected to be within the below range.
