Position Overview The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations, providing therapy services, and documenting all services in accordance with individualized plans of care and physician orders.
Assignment Details
Location: San Jose, CA
Start Date: January 5, 2026
End Date: End of school year (36 weeks)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 37.5 hrs/week
Duration: 36 weeks
Pay Rate: $80/hr or $3,900/week in travel pay
Openings: 7
Grade Levels: Varies
Responsibilities
Conduct evaluations and develop therapy plans
Provide direct speech-language therapy services
Document services per plan of care
Collaborate with educational staff and families
Requirements
Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in state of practice
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
Current CPR (if applicable)
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
