Salary Details: A range of $353,627 - $480,983

Posting Summary The Department of Medicine, Division of Liver Disease and Transplant Hepatology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) seeks qualified candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for full‑time academic positions in liver disease and transplant hepatology. Candidates must be board eligible/certified in Gastroenterology and board eligible/certified in Transplant Hepatology. Positions will support general and advanced inpatient and outpatient liver disease and transplant hepatology consultation services at University Hospital, perform gastroenterology procedures consistent with training, serve as core faculty for the training of gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellows, and support general medicine residency training and the educational needs of New Jersey Medical School. Candidates will actively support the research mission of the division and lead investigator‑initiated and grant‑supported clinical research studies. The ideal candidate will be fully engaged in further enhancing and expanding our liver transplant program. Responsibilities include patient care, research, and teaching (medical students, resident physicians, and subspecialty fellows) in concert with Rutgers NJMS, University Hospital, and the Division of Liver Disease and Transplant Hepatology.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience: Successful candidates must be board eligible or certified in Gastroenterology and board eligible or certified in Transplant Hepatology.

Certifications/Licenses: MD/DO

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Candidates must possess advanced clinical knowledge in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology, exhibit teaching and mentorship skills, and demonstrate the ability to conduct and lead clinical research studies. Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and provide high‑quality patient care is essential.
