Position Overview This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite. The selected candidate must live and work from one of the New England states (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT).

Responsible for all aspects of established patient scheduling in accordance with department scheduling guidelines. Provides superior customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and staff while facilitating all aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide appointment scheduling ranging from single physician appointments to multiple care provider appointments for existing patients.

Obtain detailed clinical information face‑to‑face, by telephone, or electronically.

Provide basic information regarding insurance referrals.

Provide general disease or program‑specific information to callers within scope of knowledge and authority.

Perform independent patient and outside provider call triaging and assist in directing patient flow.

Serve as liaison between patient, family, and provider.

Resolve issues directly or ensure appropriate management of calls by others.

Recognize emergencies and respond using standard operating procedures and critical thinking skills.

Schedule complex research protocols with extensive interaction with grant‑funded and industry‑sponsored clinical trials.

Carry out specific processes in the patient scheduling system to ensure correct special billing and revenue processes function properly.

Demonstrate clinical, operational, and regulatory knowledge of standard of care or clinical trial protocol for the patient population coordinated.

Participate in training for new hires.

Prepare, open, and close provider schedules and handle daily schedule changes.

Conduct slide submission as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Ability to multi‑task and function as integral member of a team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent computer, customer service, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Minimum Job Qualifications The position strongly prefers a bachelor’s degree in health administration or a related field, along with up to 1 year of experience in healthcare or customer service.

Patient Contact Yes, interacts with the adult patient population.

Compensation $45,500.00 – $54,400.00
