Job Description

At Beyond Energy Services & Technology (BEST), we’re redefining what Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) excellence looks like in the Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) sector. We’re seeking a dynamic, hands‑on HSE Advisor to join our U.S. operations—someone who can confidently lead safety initiatives in the field, support complex and high‑risk projects, and shape strategic HSE programs that strengthen our culture.

This isn’t your average safety role. The HSE Advisor is a key driver of operational excellence across our MPD service locations in the USA, acting as both a trusted field leader and a strategic partner. This position ensures compliance with U.S. HSE legislation while meeting internal standards and client requirements. As a subject matter expert in regulatory affairs, audit readiness, safe work practices, and incident management, you’ll play a vital role in fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive risk management across the region.

Key Responsibilities Operational HSE Leadership

Act as the regional HSE lead for MPD operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all activities.

Champion Beyond’s safety culture through strong field presence, leadership, and engagement with operations teams.

Regulatory Compliance

Conduct internal on‑site HSE audits to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure readiness for client, regulatory (OSHA, ISO 45001), and third‑party inspections.

Interpret and implement federal, state, and local HSE regulations with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation.

Ensure all HSE documentation and programs are current, readily accessible, and fully aligned with client requirements and industry best practices.

Incident Management & Risk Mitigation

Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis, formal reporting, and ensure timely and effective corrective action plans.

Develop, document, and disseminate lessons learned from incidents and near misses across U.S. operations.

Coordinate and manage modified work programs in accordance with regulatory and internal policies.

Client Interface

Oversee compliance and performance; conduct on‑site verifications and align expectations with client standards.

Participate in pre‑job planning and client audits, representing BEST’s commitment to safety excellence.

Conduct routine worksite verifications to confirm safe work practices, hazard controls, and contractor performance.

Collaborate closely with Operations and QHSE teams to maintain alignment with client HSE expectations and deliverables.

HSE Program Development & Implementation

Support the QHSE team in the design, rollout, and monitoring of company‑wide HSE improvement initiatives.

Provide dedicated HSE oversight during high‑risk or critical MPD projects to ensure safe execution and regulatory compliance.

Field Engagement & Training

Conduct regular field inspections to assess compliance with hazard controls, HSE documentation standards, and procedural requirements.

Lead and facilitate weekly safety meetings and monthly performance reviews in partnership with operational leadership.

Provide guidance, coaching, and support to supervisors, employees, and contractors regarding legislative changes, corporate HSE procedures, and client expectations.

Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner with Operations and Sales teams to support client engagements, HSE audits, and project readiness activities.

Maintain transparent and proactive communication with HSE Management and Operations leadership on emerging trends, concerns, and compliance matters.

Champion a culture of safety built on accountability, trust, and leadership reflecting Beyond Energy's core values.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of progressive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) experience in the oil and gas industry; experience in Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) is considered an asset.

Strong knowledge of U.S. safety regulations and industry best practices (OSHA, EPA).

Demonstrated experience in conducting field‑level inspections, regulatory audits, and managing contractor compliance programs.

Associate degree in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment.

Highly organized, analytical, and capable of working independently.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Possession of a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Current certifications in:

Willing and able to travel up to 25% including to field and remote operational sites as required.

Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Strong ability to conduct and coach others on hazards identification and risk control.

Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks across different sites with minimal supervision.

Experience in coordinating or contributing to project readiness plans, HSE mobilizations and safety reviews.

Comfortable working in dynamic field environments, including remote locations and variable schedules.
