About Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford: With 407 beds, this regional referral center features a modern facility built in 2010 and a newly-renovated 16 operating room suite The hospital is centrally located in the fastest growing county in the state of Tennessee on a beautiful 68-acre campus on the bustling “Medical Center Parkway” corridor with convenient access to dining and shopping areas The hospital campus is currently undergoing a $110 expansion project, which includes the addition of 36 new high acuity beds, a parking garage dedicated to hospital employees and physicians, 18 new critical care unit beds, six additional NICU bassinets, 17 new post-surgery bays The hospital is well known in the community for its women’s services and well-established heart surgery program Saint Thomas Health and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) have an established partnership in Middle Tennessee for training medical residents in a variety of specialties including internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and general surgery About Murfreesboro: One of the nation’s fastest growing population centers, offers top schools and a wide range of housing options, quick access to fine dining and live music, home to Middle Tennessee State University, and multiple nearby lakes and trails About Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Partners: Nearly 20 years of providing primary and specialty care to the community spanning 45 counties in Middle Tennessee, offering careers across 50 specialties in 16 hospital campuses and more than 250 sites of care Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Required Credential(s): BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Physician Assistant credentialed from the Tennessee Committee on Physicians Assistants obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
