POSITION TITLE The Mechanic / Maintenance is responsible for performing machinery repairs, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring that machines are working safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines
Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely mannerPerform thorough maintenance on machinery
Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine users
Undertake other duties as assigned
Keep logs of work and report on issues
Required Skills / Abilities
Proven experience as Mechanic / Maintenance
Excellent knowledge of machinery
Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, etc.) and precision measurement tools
Problem-solving ability
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
High School Diploma and / or vocational school
Strong problem solving skills
Physical Requirements
Very good physical strength and stamina
Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
