System Administrator - Senior
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a
Senior Systems Administrator
for a potential opportunity to support the stable operation of in‑house computer systems and network infrastructure. This role is responsible for planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing system software, servers, and communication links across multiple locations. The Senior Systems Administrator will analyze and resolve end‑user software and connectivity issues, provide technical support and user training, and recommend technology solutions that align with organizational and mission requirements. The position requires both local and remote support, including system maintenance, upgrades, and new installations. The role applies advanced technical expertise in application networking, load balancing, fault tolerance, and vulnerability management.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, maintain, and support servers, applications, and networked systems
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and connectivity issues
Provide end‑user support and technical training as needed
Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and new system deployments
Apply advanced knowledge of application networking, load balancing, and fault tolerance
Conduct vulnerability management and support security compliance efforts
Provide recommendations on technology direction to support business and mission objectives
Minimum Experience
Seven (7) years of progressive experience in Information Processing or a related field
At least six (6) years of experience across multiple Information Processing disciplines involving diverse hardware and software solutions
A minimum of four (4) years of hands‑on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting software systems
