Overview Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Surgical Stepdown Unit! (4HH). This position is for a Temporary Traveler, Temporary Full Time, Night Shift at $70 per hour.
Department Overview
This unit provides high acuity cardiac care for pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments.
Dedicated to high quality care, patient outcomes, safety and teamwork is a standard of the staff.
Nurses handle 4 patients on this unit based on acuity level.
Education Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required.
Certification/Licensure
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
ACLS
Experience Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience.

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital , located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
