Overview Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) – Local provides hard‑services‐led, tailored facility management solutions. The role is an on‑site, 5‑day‑a‑week position in New York, NY.
Responsibilities Performs complex preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment and controls inside and outside buildings. Monitors building system operations and performance, maintains professional appearances of the property, and supports energy‑management initiatives to keep operating costs minimal. Oversees and inspects work performed by outside contractors and ensures compliance with all company and regulatory standards. Performs specialized tasks such as carpentry, electrical, painting, HVAC, welding, furniture assembly, and locksmith duties, and responds to emergency situations and customer concerns.
Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED; eight or more years of experience in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC.
Certificates and Licenses Universal CFC certification required; additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, process controls, mechanical power transmission, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair are preferred.
Skills & Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to deliver efficient, reliable service to customers. Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, and work‑order systems. Physical ability to lift or carry heavy loads (50 lbs or more).
Compensation The minimum salary is $70,500 annually and the maximum salary is $97,000 annually, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
