Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equity Analyst to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will have 35 years of experience in equity research or investment analysis with a strong understanding of global markets and financial modeling. This role involves conducting in-depth research generating investment ideas and supporting portfolio management decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct fundamental analysis of publicly traded companies across various sectors
Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks
Monitor market trends macroeconomic indicators and industry developments
Prepare investment reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders
Collaborate with portfolio managers to support investment strategies
Participate in earnings calls investor briefings and industry conferences
Maintain coverage of assigned stocks and update recommendations as needed
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting or related field (Masters or CFA preferred)
35 years of experience in equity research investment banking or asset management
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Japanese language proficiency is a plus but not required
Experience working at a Japanese company and familiarity with Japanese business culture is a strong plus.
Must be able to commute to the office location.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
