Position Description Join our dynamic team as a Purchasing Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations. In this position, you'll lead procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards. Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous deals.
Oversee the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers to maintain quality and reliability.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability criteria.
Monitor inventory levels and forecast procurement needs to minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on purchasing needs and budget considerations.
Analyze market trends to anticipate shifts in pricing or availability of materials.
Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
Implement and maintain a purchasing database or system for tracking orders and supplier performance.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the purchasing function.
Understand specifications, bid processes, analyzing quotations, payment terms, and contracts.
Position Requirements Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement management.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with contract management and strategic sourcing.
Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Familiarity with applicable laws and regulations related to procurement.
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.
