Bourne Group specializes in Design, Manufacturing and Installation of Interior products and signage for both the Cruise Industry as well as land based developments.

We are seeking an experienced environmental graphic designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and creating graphics, signage, and wayfinding systems for indoor and outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and experience in environmental graphic design.

The incumbent Graphic Designer will become a part of our team as a critical addition to our work force, in the designing and building of highly complicated and customized signage. An aptitude for attention to detail as well as a willingness to work hard and work well with others will help benefit the candidates long term growth here at Bourne Group. Candidate should be comfortable with traveling internationally as part of the responsibility of this new role.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership : Lead the development of environmental graphic signage solutions from concept through final implementation. Ensure designs align with project goals, brand standards, and functional requirements.

Client Collaboration : Work closely with clients, architects, and internal teams to understand project scope, needs, and vision. Present design concepts and revise based on feedback.

Wayfinding Systems : Create clear, intuitive, and aesthetically engaging wayfinding signage and systems for various environments, including healthcare, corporate, educational, retail, and transit.

Brand Integration : Develop and apply brand guidelines to environmental graphics, ensuring consistent visual language across all elements and spaces.

Project Management : Oversee the development of design concepts, coordinate with external vendors and fabricators, and manage the timeline and budget to ensure the project is delivered on schedule and within scope.

Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, assisting with their professional development and ensuring the overall design quality of the team.

Site Visits & Implementation : Conduct site visits to assess design feasibility, site conditions, and installation processes. Ensure designs are accurately executed in the field.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Industrial Design, or related field.

Experience : 5-7 years of experience in environmental graphic design or related fields, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of signage and environmental design projects.

Expertise : Extensive experience with wayfinding systems, sign types, materials, fabrication processes, and installation methods.

Software Proficiency : Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design software. Knowledge of 3D rendering tools is a plus.

Strong Communication Skills : Ability to present ideas clearly and confidently to clients and internal teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Attention to Detail : A keen eye for detail and ability to produce high-quality, polished designs. Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and composition.

Team Player : Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of designers, architects, and other professionals.
