Responsibilities
Howmet Aerospace's Wichita Falls, TX facility has an opening for Shipping Operator.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING NIGHT SHIFTS, 7:00 P.M TO 7:00 A.M. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)
– candidate will train on day shift.
Starting pay rate is $22.03 per hour and tops out at $26.40 at 9 months (plus $1.00 shift differential).

Job Summary
Works under general supervision to sort, etch, and identify castings according to specific procedures and written instructions, ensuring correct manufacturing documentation and customer requirements before shipment.
Essential Functions
Use computers (keyboard, mouse) to enter information
Read and interpret Product Criteria and Activity Instructions
Work as a team member under general supervision
Maintain expected quality levels
Read, comprehend instructions and sketches
Comply with all site policies including EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct, and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook
Job Responsibilities
Interpret and develop work instructions for departmental use
Read electrolytic etch identification book and decipher markings
Read online information to determine markings for parts
Verify castings and routing tickets to ensure prior operations completed and errors corrected
Sort castings per customer specification
Mark castings using vibropeen, electro etch, or ink stamp
Prepare lists of serial number, heat number, heat treat batch number, and mold position
Pack castings and identify cartons showing part number, job number, heat number, quantity, vendor code, customer, alloy, cavity, deviation class, core, and serial number
Prepare shipment for release to customers
Ensure no handling damage before packaging
Legibly vibropeen numbers and letters into castings
Use independent judgment when necessary
Work with minimum supervision
Communicate with inspectors, providing reasons for approvals, rework, or rejections, and keep records of results
Determine if parts should be forwarded, reworked, or scrapped
Comply with all EHS rules related to work environment
Work overtime when needed
Physical Demands and Equipment
Pushing, pulling, twisting
Bending, squatting
Floor-to-waist lift and carry, waist-to-chest lift
Continuously standing
Gripping and pinching
Carry items with two hands; one hand for smaller loads
Climb stairs and ladders; balance; reach near, far, overhead
Repetitive lifting of 25‑50 lbs
Pass Jaeger I eye exam
Constant concentration and alertness during inspection
Training and Equipment Used
One to three months on-the-job training required for proficiency
Completed Training Folder
Vibropeen, pallet jack
Work Environment
Exposure to noise, oil, dust, fumes, heat and cold; seasonal temperature changes
Heated and air‑conditioned environment
Exposure to nickel
Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Legal authorization to work in the United States (verification required at hire); no visa sponsorship available
Position requires access to export‑controlled items and lawful access to such items
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
General knowledge of previous operations helpful
