Description
The Foreman oversees large field crews (10+ team members) across multiple low-voltage construction projects. Responsibilities include installation oversight, team leadership, quality control, scheduling, manpower forecasting, and adherence to project plans, codes, and safety standards. The Foreman interprets blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe installation of cabling systems, devices, and communication equipment.
Job Duties
Lead, manage, and mentor project crews; ensure proper training and performance.
Report daily to the Project Manager with updates on progress, issues, timeline impacts, staffing, and morale.
Execute projects using LEAN Construction principles.
Coordinate with EC/end users to plan work according to project schedules.
Maintain and approve daily logs, timecards, and task tracker entries.
Review and verify completed work performed by Leads and Technicians.
Reinforce a strong safety culture and professional conduct on all job sites.
Provide recommendations based on codes, standards, and best practices.
Implement project plans, scopes of work, retrofits, and infrastructure upgrades.
Complete required Pre-Task Plans at the start of shifts and Daily Reports at the end.
Maintain accurate As-Built documentation; communicate scope changes via RFI/email.
Professionally document all relevant conversations with trade partners, EC, and owners; relay to Project Manager.
Forecast manpower, materials, tools, and equipment needs up to 4 weeks in advance.
Review all project documentation, drawings, and scope within one week of project start.
Assist Operations with performance documentation and employee write-ups when necessary.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Ensure team appearance and conduct follow company standards.
Provide reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Ensure compliance with department and company policies and procedures.
Make decisions based on codes, standards, best practices, and project schedules.
Travel may be required.
Promote adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Installer certifications from one or more manufacturers preferred (Leviton, Berk-Tek, SYSTIMAX, Ortronics, Panduit, etc.).
Low-voltage electrical license or telecommunications certification preferred (BICSI, InfoComm, NSCA, SCTE, etc.).
Knowledge of industry-standard cable codes, color codes, and termination practices.
OSHA 30 certification required.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $39.00 – $44.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
