The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of production, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, optimizing processes for efficiency, and leading a team of skilled personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, proven leadership abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work environment
Ensure that all practices and procedures for safety, Quality, Shipping and Production are properly implemented and followed.
Develop operations budget
Manage cost to deliver the budget
Deliver against ongoing Cost savings efforts and challenges
Complete monthly operations metrics to ensure the facility is running at peak performance and to achieve operational excellence
Development of personnel for succession planning, ensure team has required skills to deliver against business needs.
Education
Bachelor's Degree (Technical, or Business Administration degree preferred)
Experience
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience in a management role
Skills
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving performance.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of relevant software applications, such as ERP systems and production planning tools.
Certification in safety or quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is a plus.
