Salary: $26,185.60 - $38,390.58 per year

About the Agency The Mississippi Department of Transportation is responsible for providing a safe intermodal transportation network that is planned, designed, constructed, and maintained in an effective, cost efficient, and environmentally sensitive manner.
Responsibilities Third‑level seasoned vocational worker accountable for performing a variety of semi‑skilled work in the alteration, maintenance, and repair of state buildings and facilities. At this level, employees work in and have general knowledge of a variety of trade areas including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair in settings such as facilities and grounds. May oversee a crew engaged in maintenance tasks. This position serves as a career transition point for employees to either continue with this family or transfer to the Specialty Trades and Construction Family.
Qualifications Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication.
Typically requires 3‑4 years of experience.
