Job Title: Manufacturing Operator (Injection Molding / Assembly)
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Thursday | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Pay: $16.00/hr + $1.00/hr shift premium
Employment Type: Temp with potential to go permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable Manufacturing Operator to support injection molding and assembly operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality, safety, and consistent production.
Responsibilities
Report to your workstation 10 minutes before shift change to review machine performance, quality issues, and standard procedures
Operate injection molding machines and/or assembly equipment per standard operating procedures
Review daily quality requirements, operator instructions, quality alerts, and packaging instructions
Perform visual inspections to identify defects or damage
Verify scale settings and ensure proper packaging and labeling
Package parts carefully to prevent contamination or damage
Count and record good parts and scrap throughout the shift
Communicate excessive scrap or defects to Quality or the Shift Supervisor
Maintain press collection bins to inspection standards
Safely operate grinders as required
Perform 5S activities per schedule
Assist other team members as needed to meet production demands
Follow all MIOSHA safety requirements
Complete other duties as assigned by supervision or management
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Ability to follow detailed procedures and exercise sound judgment
Strong communication skills
Understanding of workplace safety practices
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb stairs as needed
Use hands for handling tools, parts, and controls
Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with operating machinery and variable temperatures
PPE is provided and required
Strict adherence to safety protocols is expected
