Description Patient Transporter at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is Part time and will work an 8‑hour Day shift.

Providence Mission Hospital has received Magnet designation in 2012, 2017, 2021 and is in the process of earning our fourth designation in 2025! This is a prestigious designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), which recognizes organizations that provide the highest‑quality care. Under general supervision, the transporter works with a team to move pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients to and from various areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, diagnostic areas, surgery, and admitting. The transporter maintains communication via dispatcher two‑way radio to receive transport and other requests. Documents transport activities and keeps transportation‑related equipment such as gurneys and wheelchairs clean and orderly.

Required Qualification

National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualification

Experience in a related healthcare field or position.

Pay Range $24.00 - $28.06 per hour. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
