Job Overview
Openwork is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to support production and facility operations by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems. The Maintenance Technician ensures minimal downtime and safe, efficient working conditions across the facility.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production machinery, mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure.
Troubleshoot issues with equipment and determine root causes of mechanical or electrical failures.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, adjustments, cleaning, and inspections.
Install new equipment or assist in facility upgrades and layout changes.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance logs.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Communicate recurring maintenance issues or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school preferred.
Minimum 1–2 years of industrial or facilities maintenance experience.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, or dust.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and to stand, climb, and kneel throughout the shift.
Schedule & Pay Full time; two shifts available.
Monday–Friday 7:00 am–4:30 pm and Monday–Friday 4:30 pm–12:30 am with occasional overtime.
Pay $20–$25 an hour (depending on experience).
