Job Duties and Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to the following:
Review completed appraisals/environmental reports (or assign the review to an appropriate underwriter/portfolio manager during periods of high volume) for adherence to current regulations and document results of such reviews. Be the primary contact with appraisers/environmental consultants when concerns with the report produced arise or other concerns as they occur.
Collaborate with other staff to ensure appraisal compliance, independence and valuation.
Stay up to date on market trends and conditions as well as changing regulatory requirements concerning the appraisal and environmental areas. Appropriately communicate industry and policy changes to the lending and underwriting staff with the concurrence of the Chief Credit Officer.
Interface with bank examiners, auditors and loan review personnel as to compliance with policy and regulatory issues with the concurrence of the Chief Credit Officer.
Identify and develop “best practices” for the Commercial Lending Department with an objective of standardization, where practical, of approach and process throughout the Division.
Responsible for the completion of various Commercial Lending internal reports as well as certain reports delivered to the Executive Committee or the Trustees.
Promote the company’s presence through participation and attendance at various civic and charitable events/organizations.
Compliance with banking laws and regulations as defined in company policies and procedures pertinent to position.
Regular attendance is essential to this position.
Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
Education and/or Experience • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four‑year college or university and five+ years of related experience.
• Appropriate computer skills, including database analysis.
• Licensed appraiser or equivalent training to be able to recognize deficiencies in appraisals and evaluations as well as changes in market trends and conditions.
• Working knowledge of environmental reporting and regulatory issues to be able to recognize deficiencies and environmental issues in order to work with consultants effectively.

Salary Range $140,000 - $160,000
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, and performance. This range may be modified in the future.
