Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status. Take proper radiographs as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies. Maintain infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Utilize dental software systems for documentation review, scheduling, and detailed record keeping. Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants. Collaborate with dentists to ensure best outcomes for patient care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and data security. Assist with patient care coordination and follow-up appointments to promote ongoing oral health management. Experience/Requirements
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification. New graduates welcome. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology necessary for accurate documentation review and patient assessment. Familiarity with imaging techniques, vital signs monitoring, and pediatrics is advantageous. CPR Certification. Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients of all ages about oral health practices. Friendly demeanor. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $42.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week Benefits
