Duties and Responsibilities

Level 1:

Learns and complies with CORE requirements:

Key Behaviors / Company Policies GMP / General Safety / PPE

Learns and complies with area HOUSEKEEPING requirements - during shift and shift hand off

Executes QUALITY Plan

Properly manage inventory using FEFO rotation process. Identify out of spec packaging materials, pallet tag information, or lot codes on finished goods. Work with Warehouse Manager and Quality team to isolate and hold inventory as appropriate.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION and ADJUSTMENT:

Pass forklift certification test Be able to operate a forklift in an efficient manner by prioritizing safety thru proper speed, horn usage, and other methods. Safely operate offline stretch wrapper as needed. Clear palletizer and production stretch wrapper jams as needed. Able to load pallets in our 3‑high drive in racking and double stack pallets correctly. Supply production lines the correct materials for the products running; including film, cardboard, and pallets. Learn how to change pallet wrapping film. Charge forklift during lunch break and end of shift.

5. DOCUMENTATION:

Ensure accurate inventory documentation and production records. Be able to read and understand (RPO's) daily production schedules.

6. SANITATION is completed at scheduled intervals in warehouse areas, and proactively when time is available.

7. PERFORMANCE: Demonstrates ability to consistently perform the above duties and responsibilities delivering targeted levels of Safety, Quality, and Production Performance

Level 2: Level 1 proficiency for ALL LINES plus below:

Learn to receive inbound shipments and process paperwork correctly.

Manage the de-palletizers: Supplying each line with the correct bottle, removing (dunnage) pallets from magazines. Keep the floor free from broken glass.

Learn how to create partial pallet license plates in B.C. / for combining partials.

Effectively COMMUNICATES issues and opportunities with other Warehouse, Production, and Quality Team members.

TRAINS new operators to level 1 capability

ENGAGES in performance problem solving

PERFORMANCE: Demonstrates ability to consistently perform the above duties and responsibilities delivering targeted levels of Safety, Quality, and Production Performance

Level 3: Level 2 proficiency for ALL LINES plus below:

TRAINS operators to Level 2 -3 capability

Learn shipping: Print out load tickets, work the handheld scanners correctly. Load trucks with appropriate airbags. Post shipments/ double check B.O.L.

Appropriately coordinates trailer loading by communicating with external truck drivers based on shipment schedule and priorities. Consistently chocks trailer tires before loading.

Learn to resolve scanner or posting load errors that may arise.

Able to cover all forklift positions.

Functions as LEAD OPERATOR performing root cause analysis, improving safety, quality, and operating conditions

Technical Requirements - Education, Areas of Knowledge and Experience

Previous forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

Ability to use computer systems to perform appropriate receiving, inventory management, and shipping duties

Ability to problem solve

Mechanical aptitude and capability to use basic tools

Mathematics - ability to us basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, and decimals

Comprehend written instructions and strong communication skills
