Full Time - 1.0 FTE Schedule - TBD Location - Ann Arbor, MI Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program Active PA-C license in the State of Michigan Current BLS and ACLS certification 1-2 years of post-graduate PA-C experience, preferably in an orthopedic or surgical specialty Demonstrated clinical judgment, procedural proficiency, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced orthopedic setting Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and engagement Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations for orthopedic patients Assist surgeons in the operating room and perform minor procedures as delegated Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, including imaging studies and labs Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including wound care and rehabilitation planning Provide patient education regarding procedures, treatment options, and recovery plans Collaborate with physical therapists, nursing staff, and other members of various interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes Document all patient care accurately in the EMR (Epic) Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols and guidelines Why Work with Us?
