The Epic Applications Analyst II or III ensures that HealthPoint’s electronic health record (EHR) and related application software are available, supported, and optimized for staff across the organization. This role provides technical expertise, performs system maintenance, supports new functionality, and serves as a key resource for workflows and data integrity.

Compensation is dependent on experience and level (II or III).

Your Contribution to the Team Includes

Serve as primary and secondary subject matter expert (SME) for Epic applications.

Support additional clinical information systems and software platforms.

Execute, assess, troubleshoot, and create solutions for supported applications.

Contribute to the assessment and development of long‑term clinical technology goals.

Lead development, implementation, upgrades, and testing of new modules and enhancements.

Perform system maintenance, table updates, error resolution, and documentation.

Develop and validate requirements, workflows, test plans, and technical documents.

Manage advanced troubleshooting projects in partnership with HealthPoint’s Enterprise administrative organization.

Identify, document, and elevate application defects to appropriate external vendors.

Provide ongoing escalation support to internal teams.

Deliver technical support and diagnose application issues in collaboration with end‑users.

Build and maintain reports within clinical systems.

Maintain knowledge of Epic tools including Orion, Nova notes, User Forum, and Galaxy.

Provide onsite and remote training to support best practices in system use.

Participate in meetings and process improvement discussions to optimize workflows.

Perform on‑call support during scheduled rotations.

Create system learning content independently or with instructional designers.

Demonstrate respectful, professional behavior supporting a team‑oriented environment.

Minimum Qualifications Analyst II

Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two‑year college, technical school, or clinical certification.

Five (5) years related healthcare experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two (2) years electronic health record support experience required.

Ambulatory certification required.

Welcome or Cheers certification preferred.

Analyst III

Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two‑year college, technical school, or clinical certification.

Seven (7) years related healthcare experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two (2) years IT healthcare experience and two (2) years EHR support experience required.

Epic experience preferred.

Ambulatory certification required.

Welcome or Cheers certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced skill in operating and troubleshooting EHR systems; Epic strongly preferred.

Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Epic certifications.

Immunization Requirements Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination is required prior to start. HealthPoint does not accept Johnson & Johnson vaccine as proof; alternative vaccination documentation is required.

Employees must show proof of:

MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)

TB QuantiFERON Gold

Tdap (for clinic roles; within the last 10 years)

Hepatitis B (required for clinical roles with blood/blood‑product exposure)

All immunizations are a condition of employment. Documentation must be provided by the fifth business day of employment. Employees may obtain required vaccinations or titers through HealthPoint at no cost.
