. This is a full-time position grade 12, with a minimum salary of $60,010.00 per year. Maury County is seeking a
Planner
to review development applications, ensure zoning compliance, and support long-range planning efforts. This role involves working with developers, the public, and county officials to guide responsible growth. Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze development plans and zoning applications. Assist in creating long-term community plans. Conduct site visits and prepare reports. Provide guidance to the public and developers. Attend Planning Commission and department meetings, including some evenings. Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning or related field. Experience:
1+ year in planning or a related field. Skills:
Proficiency in GIS, zoning principles, and Microsoft Office. Certifications:
TN Driver’s License (required), APA membership (preferred). Maury County Government is an E-Verify employer.
