- Other Details: A locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist is needed to provide coverage on the following dates: July 28 to August 1, August 11 to 15, August 18 to 22, September 1 to 5, the week of November 24, and December 22 to January 2. The position is hospital-based within a growing cardiac surgery program at a Level II Trauma Center. On rare occasions, coverage may be required at an ASC if no cardiac cases are scheduled. The role involves managing one cardiac case per day when scheduled, and 5 7 general cases on non-cardiac days. The environment is predominantly solo practice, with occasional supervision of CRNA students, and there are 8 ORs in active use. The provider must be board certified or eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology, TEE certified (able to read, interpret, and bill), and ideally fellowship-trained or have extensive cardiac experience. An active Iowa license or IMLC is required, along with BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and COVID vaccination.
