DEPUTY PLANT MANAGER (MANUFACTURING)

Global Operations Director in New Albany, Indiana, United States of America
Summary/Objective Assist and take on Plant Manager’s role when Plant Manager is absent, guide the corporation in maintaining and improving its competitive position. Coordinates activities between departments to achieve require and consistent results.
Position will be rotated every 2-3 years from one location to another.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Directs the company’s Operations’ activities include production, quality, technical, logistic, trade compliance toward the accomplishment of corporate objectives.
Coordinate Operations’ activities through the planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Coordinates communication and activities between the “mother” facility and satellite locations with regards to Operations’ activities.
Directs the manufacture of all company products at lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Adheres to all Samtec Quality Principles and actions.
The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities.
Required Experience
10+ years in related / similar position
Willingness to relocate as this position is on a rotation basis
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing / related technical or equivalent experience.
