Assistant Director of Assessment & Referral Full-time

Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

We are located in Desoto County, in the northwest corner of Mississippi and approximately 7 miles south of Memphis.

Responsibilities Under the direction of the Director of Assessment and Referral, the Assistant Director of Assessment and Referral assures smooth and orderly admissions into the hospital. Receives incoming admission inquiry calls, assesses patients for admission, and makes appropriate referrals. The Assistant Director also participates in staff evaluation, shift leadership, and provides task assignment and accountability necessary to complete all admissions related duties for their shift.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description.

Education:

Master’s Degree required in Psychology, Sociology or related field.

Experience:

Two (2) years’ experience clinical experience in a psychiatric setting. Prior management experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

LCSW, LMSW or LPC preferred. CPR Certification required.

Knowledge:

Prefer knowledge of recruitment, selection, benefits, employment law, worker’s compensation, compensation, employee relations. Advanced computer skills required.
