About the Role:
A leading commercial contractor in Texas is seeking a
Project Manager
to join their growing roofing team in San Antonio. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee the entire project lifecycle—from pre-construction through closeout—while ensuring jobs are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard of quality. Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple commercial roofing projects simultaneously Oversee scheduling, budgeting, billing, change orders, purchase orders, and contracts Ensure accurate drawings and revisions by working closely with drafting contacts Supervise and support Project Coordinators and Superintendents Promote a culture of safety and ensure all field personnel follow proper procedures Track project production: labor, materials, time, and quality metrics Attend site meetings, conduct pre-job walkthroughs, and verify QA/QC reports Build and maintain strong client and vendor relationships Process submittals and RFIs, and resolve project issues or conflicts Approve jobs for invoicing and manage cost tracking Mentor and train Assistant Project Managers and Coordinators Help new team members integrate into company culture and processes Use and manage field tech platforms (e.g., PlanGrid, QAQC, JHA, KeyStyle)
What You Bring:
Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience, including roofing OR a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field plus relevant experience At least 2 years of Project Management or Assistant PM experience in commercial construction Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems and jobsite operations Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with construction contracts, RFIs, lien waivers, insurance requirements, and billing OSHA 30 certification Able to read and interpret construction documents and specifications Valid driver’s license and legal authorization to work in the U.S. Ability to work 40+ hours per week and manage field activity when required Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Comfortable mentoring and helping develop less-experienced team members Why Join This Team:
