Position Overview Under the guidance of the Director of Product Development, the Console / Technology Product Manager is someone who supports the product roadmap and strategy in accordance with company goals and market needs. This role blends traditional product management responsibilities with a focus on hardware-software integration for equipment with LCD, LED and touchscreen displays. In addition, this role will include developing new components, internally and through third‑party vendors, and connected strength technologies. This is a non‑supervisory position.

Responsibilities Product Development

Define the roadmap for console technologies including touchscreens, embedded software and connectivity features

Develop necessary documentation to drive projects through new product development, KT/KC development or research phases

Work closely with digital product management and user interface teams on the development and strategy of console‑based user interfaces and embedded systems

Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to ensure console features meet performance, usability, and innovation goals

Train staff on new product assembly, installation, configuration and troubleshooting for all technology products and accessories

Assist in developing documentation for sales and customer‑facing applications to help reduce intimidation of tech products in market and software

Meet with internal sales teams and customers to identify product opportunities

Create detailed specifications, price points and gather details necessary for the project budget as required for global development teams

Communicate with factory and third‑party vendors about final product specifications and design

Collaborate with engineering team to resolve costing and BOM issues

Align product requirements with quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction through defect‑free launches

Act as the communication bridge between sales and manufacturing

Write and manage Owners Manuals and training materials

Assist with customer quality concerns related to design and features

Serve as the liaison to third‑party vendors/partners for joint development or distribution opportunities

Market Research

Conduct or participate in meaningful consumer focus groups as needed

Gather and prioritize customer feedback to shape product features

Prepare and distribute detailed competitive reviews

Innovation

Assist to identify future opportunities two to three years in advance

Through collaboration with cross‑functional teams, identify opportunities for key product or technology enhancements

Marketing/Sales Support

Support global marketing, product development and sales teams as subject matter expert when questions arise

Develop product story for marketing department including features / benefits

Train sales team and dealers on why our products are the best in class

Requirements Education

4‑year degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Software Development required or an equivalent combination of education and experience required

Experience

Education or experience with product, sales or service in the fitness industry; or product management in another consumer industry required

Experience in technology‑based product management, engineering or sales required

Knowledge of UI/UX principles for digital displays or control panels required

Understands hardware and software development as well as networking concepts

Experience with Sporting Goods / Mass Retail, Specialty Retail or Health Clubs preferred

Proven experience in conveying complex solutions in a manner that is unintimidating to internal and external audience

Avid user of fitness products or consumer fitness tracking products preferred

Ability to work across multiple geographies and cultures

International experience, particularly with Asian manufacturing, preferred

Other Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 platform, JIRA and Confluence required

Knowledge and experience with Figma, Miro and other project management platforms preferred

Local, domestic and international travel will be required
