Join us as an Overnight Dispatch Coordinator at McLane Company, Inc. In this role you will coordinate driver dispatch operations for our Transportation Department, ensuring timely and compliant deliveries across our network. Benefits You Can Count Medical, dental, and vision insurance beginning on day 60 Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays from day one 401(k) profit‑sharing program after 90 days Pet insurance, parental leave, employee assistance, discount programs, tuition reimbursement, and more What You’ll Do Prepare daily records and memos and maintain filing systems for Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports Complete transportation pouches—including route manifests, invoices, special notifications, maps, and driver keys Develop and update driver dispatch schedules daily Ensure driver compliance with DOT hours of service and overall roadworthiness Assign tractors/trailers and verify maintenance records Communicate delivery variances to customers and expedite driver manifests Provide timely reports to supervisors as requested Collaborate with Driver Specialists, Customers, and Managers on dispatch issues Meet physical demands of the position and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma Experience with PeopleSoft or similar mainframe scheduling software Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Access Minimum two years in a similar dispatch role (preferred) Map reading and distribution systems knowledge Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Mathematical ability for maintaining accurate schedules Background check and drug screening required We’re Looking For Safetyfocused Reliable Adaptable Dedicated and team‑oriented About McLane Company Since 1894, we have led the distribution industry with a national network of team members, innovative technology, and a people‑centered culture.
