Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic electrical theory: Voltage, current, resistance, and power.

PLC low voltage controls wiring on OEM point of use equipment. This wiring will consist of connecting new wiring harness to PLC and the existing equipment.

Understanding AC/DC circuits and how they interact in control systems.

Use of crimping tools, ferrules, and connectors for secure connections.

Performing point-to-point checks to confirm correct connections.

Following lockout/tagout procedures.

Ensuring signal integrity (especially for analog signals) by proper shielding and grounding.

Knowledge of PLC Low Voltage controls.

Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.

Using a multimeter for continuity checks.

Requirements:

Must be comfortable with physical activity, including walking up to 5 miles per day and occasionally climbing ladders with fall protection.

Strong mechanical and electrical skills and understanding.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, overhead reaching, and basic physical agility.

High attention to detail with a strong focus on safety procedures.

Preferences:

Previous experience in a technical or maintenance role, ideally in a manufacturing or semiconductor environment.

Familiarity with chemical or gas handling and distribution systems.

Strong computer skills for system operation and troubleshooting.

2yrs - AA, Military equivalent, or relative work experience.

Physical Effort / Activities: May be required to walk up to 5+ miles per day, be on feet for 8-10 hours at a time, and occasionally climb ladders while utilizing fall protection. The ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds is required. Some tasks may require wearing a Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator for short periods (10-15 minutes) while working with chemicals. PPE made available includes safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, and more.
