Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Works closely with Division Production Planning Management to ensure Pinebrook substrate production schedules are met

Manages product flow to fulfill customer orders and business needs.

Monitor WIP and Finished Goods Inventory

Monitor inventories and upstream product flow to make sure all capacity bottlenecks are filled whenever possible.

A “focus on the customer” mentality is maintained.

Capacity and Capability of equipment and labor is understood and documented

Schedules production and materials to include R&D and Process Improvement activities.

Research and define reasons for excess and gaps in work in process

Attend daily, weekly meetings with appropriate personnel

Updates and releases performance to plan reports 2x / week included with gap analysis when required

Problems are expedited and issues are communicated as required

Operations are monitored to assure that process and product quality are maintained, that yields and efficiencies are within planning parameters, that scrap and waste are minimized and that safe practices are employed.

Work with the Easton production planner to manage graphite inventories across both sites

Help to develop and implement a MRP process for graphite within SAP

Help to develop and maintain key consumables within SAP

Create production orders in SAP for the furnace starts.

Create production orders in SAP to move product from PB to the other facilities (MS)

Create and maintain the operational templates to run the morning meetings

Set and maintain operational targets

Education & Experience

Minimum 2 yr. experience in manufacturing (high technology manufacturing preferred)

Experience in performing time studies (both labor and equipment)

BS or equivalent degree

Preferable trained in lean manufacturing techniques

Experience with problem analysis and resolution

Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS office, spreadsheets, access, graphics, MRP systems and accounting software)

Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP systems

Skills

Leadership capabilities to ensure the completion of tasks and enact change for improvements

Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.

Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.

Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities

ITAR/EAR and Other Requirements

Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual).

Compliance with all applicable export control regulations.

Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
