We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Care Director (Registered Nurse) to oversee the daily operations and clinical care on our Residential Care Unit. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is a licensed RN with strong leadership skills and a commitment to resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical and administrative leadership for residential and nursing care services
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as MVH policies and procedures
Oversee care planning, assessments, and implementation of individualized resident care plans
Coordinates all required documentation including MDS, monthly resident status reports and progress notes, ensuring that documentation is informative, descriptive, and reflective of the resident's care plan
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing and residential care staff
Collaborate with physicians, families, interdisciplinary teams, and external providers
Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Participate in budgeting, staffing, and resource management
Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and staff

Requirements
Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse License, authorized to work in the State of Maine, BSN preferred.
At least five (5) years of clinical experience; two (2) years in long-term care preferred.
Experience or training in such areas as geriatrics, residential care education, and dementia is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective leadership and engage in purposeful communication, as well as experiences that exhibit creativity, integrity, and initiative.
Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs and inquiries in English is required.
