Speech Language Pathologist
– Fostoria, OH – Mindlance Health – $2,366 per week – Days, 5x8 (09:00-17:30) – 13‑week contract – Starts 1/12/2026
Overview Provide speech‑language therapy in an acute care setting with a variable patient census. The role covers all age groups and requires bedside swallow evaluation, performing and interpreting modified barium swallow studies, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Assess and treat language and communication disorders for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and provide recommendations.
Perform and interpret modified barium swallow studies (VFSS).
Document interventions using the approved charting system.
Collaborate with providers, interpreters, physical therapy, radiology, respiratory therapy, and social services.
Participate in unit multidisciplinary rounds.
Qualifications
Certification: CCC‑SLP, MBSImP, and an active Ohio state license.
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience.
Experience with VFSS and modified barium swallow studies.
Proficiency in the Epic charting system preferred.
Valid fingerprinting (Ohio FBI/BCI) and COVID‑19 and flu vaccinations required.
Requirements
Core exam – Allied/Non‑Nursing (for onboarding).
Speech Language Pathologist Skills Checklist.
Two recent references within the last 24 months.
Background compliance: SSN, DOB, Tier 1 travel compliance.
Availability to work days only; no weekends.
Commitment to 13‑week contract with guaranteed hours.
