About This Role This position provides individualized medical care of assigned patients in person, electronically and via telephone under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. The Medical Assistant supports patients and providers throughout visits, ensures patient questions are answered, prepares next appointment rooms, and completes documentation.

Responsibilities

Supports patients and providers throughout the patient visit.

Ensures the patient and provider are prepared for the visit.

Answers patient questions and prepares room for next appointment.

Provides excellent patient service through effective communication over the phone and in person.

Completes appropriate documentation including patient registration if necessary.

Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials through personal professional development.

Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communication style.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred.

Medical Assistant Certification required.

BLS from the American Heart Association required.

Experience working with confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.

Clinical knowledge, proficiency in computer and web applications, effective verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
