Videographer
STO Building Group is looking for a Videographer and Editor to join our marketing team and bring bold new energy to how STO Building Group tells its stories. We want someone who will:
Set new creative standards and push the limits of construction storytelling
Capture the people, places, and projects that move our industry forward
Approach every project with curiosity, creativity, and an entrepreneurial spirit
If you think construction content is all hard hats and blueprints, think again. This role brings our projects to life by telling the stories of the people, passion, and problem-solving behind them. You’ll be behind the lens (and the edit) helping shape how our company’s story is seen and shared across the industry.
In this dynamic role, you’ll balance on-site documentation of major construction projects with filming and editing podcasts, interviews, and storytelling pieces that highlight our people and expertise—from job sites to boardrooms.
What We’re Looking For Technical Mastery
Minimum of 6 years professional video production and editing experience
Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition) required
Experience with AI-assisted workflows (Descript) is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Advanced skills in lighting, color correction, audio mixing, and motion graphics
Advanced understanding of social media and streaming platforms (YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
Camera operation expertise for challenging environments (including active construction sites)
Drone operation experience a major plus
Understanding of various codecs, formats, and platform optimization
Ability to adapt video content for multiple formats including social media, website, presentations, and trade shows
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Creative Vision
Exceptional storytelling abilities with an eye/ear for compelling narratives
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging visual content
Experience developing content strategies for B2B audiences
Strong visual composition and cinematography skills
Understanding of brand consistency and visual identity maintenance
Experience creating technical or educational video content
Portfolio demonstrating construction, industrial, or technical content preferred
Leadership, Project Management, and Extreme Ownership
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts
Partner with Corporate Marketing & Communications, Strategy & HR (?) teams to develop a video content calendar aligned with enterprise campaigns and key initiatives
Travel independently to STO Building Group jobsites and offices in the Northeastern US to capture on-location footage and interviews, operating as a self-directed professional ambassador for our brand. (Some travel is required for this role.)
Willing to obtain OSHA 30 certification and strictly adhere to all jobsite safety protocols and wear required PPE during on-site shooting
Build and manage a comprehensive video content library
Stay current on video trends, new technologies, and storytelling techniques relevant to the construction, real estate, and design industries.

Salary:
$75,000 - $90,000
Compensation:
In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
