Join Elite Earthworks and Engineering as a Heavy Equipment Operator (Earthwork). This is a full‑time, non‑exempt W‑2 position located in Murrieta, CA. Responsibilities Safely operate multiple heavy equipment types (Skip Loader, Skid Steer, Motor Grader, Dozer, Loader, Excavator, Scraper, Mini Excavator). Maintain grade to industry‑standard tolerances and construct curbs, paving sections, sidewalks, basins, and slopes. Operate GPS‑controlled equipment; read and interpret grading stakes, plans, blueprints, and GPS files. Provide accurate field documentation and update logs; identify and communicate production or safety issues. Perform daily equipment inspections, report mechanical issues, and conduct basic repairs and routine maintenance. Work under the direction of the Grade Checker, Foreman, or Superintendent and support pipe‑laying operations and general field tasks. Assist in interviewing/testing new operator candidates, train and support lower‑tier operators, and build positive team morale. Qualifications Experienced heavy‑equipment operator; not entry‑level. Proficient with at least three to four equipment types. Strong understanding of grading stakes, grades, slopes, and tolerances. Ability to read plans, GPS data, and blueprints. Safety‑first mindset with strong communication skills. Must meet the drug‑free workplace policy and pass required California safety screenings. Pay & Benefits Competitive hourly pay $30–$35 per hour with potential for $55 per hour based on proficiency and performance. $3,000 New‑Hire Journeyman Bonus (for official Operating Engineer Journeyman’s Card).
