Position Purpose
At Saint Francis Hospital the Unit Secretary is responsible for coordinating patient flow on the unit and provides clerical support to the unit.

Responsibilities
Coordinate patient flow on the unit
Process patient orders
Prepare and disassemble patient charts
Prepare forms and documents required for patient care
Communicate unit related and/or patient related needs to other departments and healthcare team members
Request and obtain supplies and equipment
Answer phones and greet visitors
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Business school or Associate Degree in Business preferred.
Certification: Certification as a Healthcare Unit Coordinator (HUC) preferred.
Ability to pass drug screening and background checks
Benefits
Full‑time, 32 hours per week, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm (8 hours) and every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
