fellowship at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James) offers advanced practice nurses and physician assistants clinical experience in critical care. Rotations include emergency department, cardiology, nephrology, internal medicine, stroke, trauma, acute care surgery, endocrine, infectious disease, hepatology, oncology, and units such as Medical Intensive Care, Neuro-Critical Care, and Surgical Intensive Care. As the only cancer program with a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center aligned with a top-ranked academic medical center and a standalone cancer hospital on a large public university campus, OSUCCC-James partners with Ohio State’s Center for Critical Care to promote excellence in patient care for critically ill patients. Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center, in partnership with The James, created the Center for Critical Care, fostering collaboration and innovative solutions for critical care patients. The center aims to improve outcomes through research, education, and patient care. Ohio State leads in critical care, employing personalized health care to transform practices. Using novel treatments and research, we link outcomes with clinical, laboratory, and genetic data to provide personalized critical care, enhancing both length and quality of life. Position Summary:
The Advanced Practice (APP) Fellow provides healthcare services to adult patients, collaborating with licensed medical staff. Services include care during acute illness, education, and counseling for individuals and families. Minimum Qualifications:
Current license and certificate to practice as a CNP in Ohio. Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program qualifying for certification by a recognized national organization. Masters degree in Nursing.
AGACNP preferred OR Graduation from an accredited physician assistant program. National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant certification. Eligibility for Ohio licensure as a physician assistant. Masters degree. Application deadline: September 1, 2025 Selected applicants will need to submit: Statement of Intent/Cover Letter Two Letters of Evaluation Resume Digital interview (for selected candidates) Final virtual interviews scheduled for September/October Final selections by November Program begins March 30, 2026 Additional documentation may be required Location:
