Customer Acceptance Tester (Remote)
Location: Remote.
Responsibilities
Perform test execution and provide ad‑hoc testing support. Work hand‑in‑hand with the business owner and provide support, feedback, and test results across all SDLC phases.
Develop and execute test scenarios to validate software functionality and user requirements.
Collaborate with the development team to identify and address software defects.
Conduct user story demonstrations and showcase software functionality to clients.
Ensure software quality meets specified expectations and enhance customer satisfaction.
Use experience testing in a cloud environment (minimum 2+ years), preferably Azure.
Run manual tests proficiently and incorporate automated testing processes using tools like Selenium and UFT with VB script.
Create clear and concise test plans, scenarios, and cases using tools like HP ALM for effective communication.
Generate detailed defect reports to facilitate understanding of software issues for team members.
Apply Agile and DevOps methodologies for flexible software testing, utilizing tools like Version One.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the complete system life cycle for applications and operating systems.
Utilize strong analytical and communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders, Solutions Architects, Product Owners, Managers, and Developers.
Skills And Experience Required
Proficient in manual and automated testing processes.
Ability to create and execute test scenarios for validation.
Experience identifying and resolving software defects.
Skilled in demonstrating software functionality to clients.
Understanding of quality assurance principles for customer satisfaction.
Minimum 2+ years testing experience in a cloud environment, preferably Azure.
Proficiency in using automation tools like Selenium and UFT with VB script.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities with stakeholders and team members.
Additional Required Skills/Experience
A minimum of eight (8) years experience in software development, software quality assurance/control, or related field.
A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline preferred.
Capability to perform all functional duties independently on high‑visibility programs or mission‑critical aspects of a given program.
Ability to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
Experience training or mentoring less experienced personnel.
Extensive knowledge and experience with formal software testing for complex software applications.
Extensive experience testing software applications, identifying/documenting defects, and working with developers and end users to resolve defects.
Extensive experience with multiple defect tracking tools (e.g., Rational, Mercury).
Extensive experience authoring software‑quality‑related documentation such as requirements specifications, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
Excellent communication skills.
