Join to apply for the Office Assistant role at Liberty Tax Be among the first 25 applicants Position Title: Hurst Office Assistant Department: NextPoint Status: Full-Time Permanent FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Purpose The Hurst Office Assistant will manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Liberty Tax Hurst Corporate Office. The Office Assistant will act as one of the office liaisons in communication with the corporate management and office staff. In this position, the Office Assistant will be responsible for providing high‑level administrative support on a day‑to‑day basis. Position Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks Point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills, and errands Organize and schedule meetings and appointments Function as liaison to IT team and provide support as necessary Assist with the preparation on contract review forms Assist with the allocations of company credit card statements Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and landlord, ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers, and office lease Provide general support to visitors Responsible for managing office services by monitoring and maintaining office supplies inventory Ensure office efficiency is maintained Participate actively in the planning and execution of company events Handle special projects Maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment Position Qualifications Minimum 5 years clerical experience required in an office setting. Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organization skills Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 Professional and Microsoft Office Suites Must be very proficient working with PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheets Previous experience in a fast‑paced, highly structured environment Ability to work both independently and within a team Physical Demands and Work Environment Position requires working at a desk at the corporate office for periods of time up to eight hours per day.
