Dock Worker / Forklift Operator, Part-Time ABF Freight Job Description Dock Workers are responsible for loading and unloading trailers for the purpose of transporting a wide variety of cargo, moving cargo, driving a forklift, or using a pallet jack or other freight handling equipment. They operate mobile technology and complete all required paperwork efficiently. Responsibilities Operate mobile technology effectively. Load and unload trailers for various cargo. Perform duties and schedule that vary by terminal location. Maintain ABF equipment via the Preventive Maintenance Program. Move cargo using a forklift, pallet jack, or other handling equipment. Prepare freight for transit. Complete all required paperwork. Requirements Casual position; willing to work evenings, weekends, and as needed. Minimum 18 years of age. Stable work record. Good safety record. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and post-offer company physical. Ability to work required shift days and hours at the location. Other Details Work Hours: Schedule may vary depending on Service Center location. Travel Requirements: Minimal (0-25%). Compensation: Hourly position paid weekly.
