Recruiting Top Talent | Non-Profit | Exec Search | Grants | Accounting | Finance Our client, a large prestigious Non-Profit Organization, is seeking a VP of Finance to join their team and lead all accounting, audit, systems, tax, internal control, and financial reporting responsibilities. The selected individual will report directly into the CFO and lead a team of 5+ across multiple lines of reporting.

Responsibilities
Oversee and direct all accounting operations, including cash receipts/disbursements, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger management, financial reporting, and audits.
Establish and monitor internal controls, policies, and procedures. Manage business systems staff, coordinate with IT on financial software implementation, and support automation of finance functions.
Direct all accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting, cash management, and administration of the organization’s credit card program in compliance with established policies.
Upgrade and implement financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures.
Oversee and partner with external auditors on all organizational audits (financial statements and 403(b) plan) and annual tax filings, including Forms 990, 990T, CHAR500, etc.
Provide financial information to Board Committees (Investment, Audit, Finance), coordinate budgeting and results analysis, collaborate with Legal on insurance and risk management, and review agreements for accounting accuracy.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering professional growth, collaboration, and a high-performance culture.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related; higher education a plus.
CPA is required; public audit experience a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of non-profit accounting and finance leadership experience.
GAAP, GAAS, and non-profit tax/regulatory understanding.
Strong management and communication skills.
Strong Medical, Dental, and Vision Package.
30 PTO Days + 10 Holidays.
