Acommunity hospital in Mt. Pleasant, MI is seeking a qualified EmergencyMedicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing a broad range of emergency conditions in a moderate-volume emergency department with strong hospital support.
Schedule 12-hour shifts: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM and 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM Coverage needed 7 days per week
Facility & ED Details Annual ED Volume: ~20,000 visits Average Daily Volume: 54 patients ED Beds: 18 Trauma Designation: Provisional Level IV Admissions from ED: ~90% of total hospital admissions ED Admission Rate: ~8% Transfer Rate: ~2% EMR: Cerner
Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients of all acuity levels. Manage medical, surgical, and trauma presentations in a Level IV trauma setting. Perform emergency procedures consistent with training and experience. Coordinate care with consultants and inpatient teams as needed. Document all patient encounters accurately in Cerner EMR.
Requirements Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
or
Family Medicine with a minimum of 2+ years of emergency department experience Active Michigan medical license DEA registration BLS required ACLS and ATLS required PALS required for non-EM board-certified physicians
